Lily Among Thorns Song of Solomon 2:2 In the Last Days 2nd Peter 3:3

1: Closing my Bible, I began to reflect on Eli’s part in the story and how it was that without even knowing the reason for Hannah’s many tears of heartache, Eli spoke only words of comfort and hoped in the Lord. He the Lord granted Hannah’s request, and I knew without a doubt, I could and always should go to the Lord for everything, which absolutely included, and most importantly, my heart’s desires.

2: All to soon the truck began to roll down the street where I lived, and just when I was about to drown in my own tears of sorrows. I saw the police beginning to leave my home. As their vehicles began to depart one by one, I found some peace of mind in knowing my family was left alone, and at least for now they were out of danger. But as my refuge from this nasty and cruel world began to get narrower and narrower, the reality of a frightening future set in. With despair now lingering in the air ready to set in like cement, excessive tears of mourning began to roll. Left to my own devices, I used a time-honored but crude method from my childhood and began wiping away the grief from my cheeks by using my shirt sleeves. But I came to learn right quick, this was only the beginning of my indignities.

3: I nodded yes, and before I had a change of heart, I found the gumption to pull myself away from his arms of devotion. After I quickly made my way back to the exit door, I now stood poised and ready once more with my hand ready to press down onto the door handle. At this most critical juncture, Caleb decided to call out to me once again. Upon hearing the love in his voice, it enabled me as of yet to sever the ties that bind and thereafter to once again turn back around to face him. He began pleading with me to have a change of heart.
