Her formative years continued under the leadership of her mother and maternal grandparents, Pastor Benjamin Edward Boulding & Mother Callie Rodgers Boulding, founders of their local church Saints Chapel Church of God in Christ (currently in its 98th year of existence – organized in 1928). Yolanda has been a pastor’s wife since 1983 and has worked with her husband at the various churches he has founded and/or pastored.

She has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Business Education from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. She has studies toward her Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from the Houston Graduate School of Theology in Houston, Texas. Sis. Hill is retired from the Fort Bend Independent School District, as a high school business education teacher and middle school counseling facilitator/testing coordinator.

Yolanda is a speaker, psalmist, recording artist, business owner and author and serves as a member of the Church of God in Christ’s Mass Choir and International Praise Team (Send Judah First). Her book, Pretty Black: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made is based on her life and ministry which aims to be an inspiration to women of all ages. Yolanda is very excited about her most current role as 1st Vice President of The Priceless Ministries, founded by Pastor Kenith Jackson, where she seeks to continue her work of sharing her testimony of transparency, love, forgiveness and deliverance to inspire others to their God-given purpose. She also works as a volunteer phone coach with the New Heart of Texas Ministries helping women (and men) all over the nation to be restored by offering help, hope and healing through the Pro-Life resources the ministry has available to them.

Yolanda has been married to Charles Hill since 1982. In July 2024, they celebrated 42 years of a wonderful and happy marriage. They have five adult children (including two by marriage). This includes: two sons (Jason and Jonathan Hill) and one daughter (Jessica Hill Venable); a daughter-in-love (Deria; Jason’s wife) and son-in-love (George “Trey” Venable III; Jessica’s husband). Additionally, they have four grandchildren.
Through the mountain-top and valley experiences, Lady Hill has had a blessed life, and she is determined to finish strong!
