Gorman Ruggiero, an award-winning actor, trained at SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory. His favorite roles are Stanley in Streetcar Named Desire, Vershinin in The Three Sisters, Truffaldino in Servant of Two Masters, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pozzo in Waiting for Godot, Jean-Paul Marat in Marat-Sade, and Charles Dickins in A Christmas Carol and more. Ruggiero has a degree in Playwrighting from SUNY Purchase. He is a Masters in Science of Psychology and has worked with Children on the Autism Spectrum and trained child actors for over 35 years. He was known as “the Vivaldi of Baldwin” for his works of original plays produced at that school in the 1990s. Ruggiero created and performed the character Cappy GoLucky for WXXA’s TV children’s programming. He has appeared in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Mysteries at the Museum, on ESPN in Saban Greatness, in Fox Nation’s The Great American Heist as Old Cheech, and in the award-winning film The Cathedral by Ricky D’Ambrose, among others. Ruggiero has won numerous awards for his role as Mac in Dadley Productions’ film Calf Rope, and many more for his role as Jude Wilcox in Dadley’s film Night Voices. Gorman’s new book The Stolen Star is in the writing stage.
